As part of IQST (Center for Integrated Quantum Science and Technology), ITI-HOCOS has presented itself at the Quantum Effects fair in Stuttgart. One display focused on our ongoing joint work with IBM Quantum on compilation for distributed quantum computers that consist of multiple quantum processing units, funded within the IQST Graduate School @QuantumBW. Moreover, we prepared a station for quantum games, which are being developed by enthusiasts worldwide and aim at explaining quantum phenomena to the general public. For example, in Quantum Minesweeper, a bomb is placed non-deterministically: it‘s either here or there, much like an electron on an atom‘s orbital. Or, in Quantum Pong, the player defines their pong bat using quantum gates.
