The Department of Embedded Systems (Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering) currently has no positions to fill. However, we plan to begin a project on system-level modelling and simulation of medical equipment in summer 2012 (final funding decision pending). We thus welcome speculative applications for fixed-term positions as
Research scientist (akad. Mitarbeiter / akad. Mitarbeiterin Verg. Gr. 13 TV-L)
A PhD degree can be pursued. Candidates should have produced outstanding results during their previous studies. They must possess a scientific (University) degree equivalent to M.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field such as Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Background in the following fields (not necessarily all) is required:
- system level modelling languages and tools (e.g. SystemC, SystemC/ AMS, Matlab/Simulink, Ptolemy),
- models of computation (discrete event, continuous time, etc.)
- simulation techniques combining heterogeneous models of computation
- medical imaging techniques
